lunchtime here so i thought id post since i havent in a while. -update from last post- i didnt end up moving. friend i have got a job in vancouver so plan didnt work out. landlord is renovating so place is getting better. as for fag boy, he got a warning eviction notice so if he leaves a mess for my roommate and i again he's out.

anywhoo. enough on that. nothing too special happened in october. i had to write my 2800 word report for the co-op office. that wasnt too bad. ive come to learn that i like writing essays and reports to some degree. yeah you suck too. work has still been fun. but on one of our lunch outings, i found out pho sucks ass over here. everyone is like "wow so good" "i want more" then im like "this tastes like garbage", then i remembered it was free so it tasted a little better after that. i miss vancouver food.

the other intern that started with me got moved downtown to work on a project with TransCan and im going to atlanta for one of the projects that im on. i keep telling him that i get to goto atlanta because im better, which is true . we're both getting more important assignments and it feels pretty good. ill be in atlanta for site testing on the project we finished. im spending 3 weeks down there and hopefully the weather will be nice cause lately its been cold in cow town. it was -5 or something one day and i thought "its so warm out".

i have lots to look forward to for the coming months, atlanta (nov12 - dec1), xmas back in vancouver (dec15, unconfirmed), trip with the boys (planning in progress). stay tuned for more (pics from atlanta and more random brain-garbage).

i hate where i live. the one cool roommate i had moved out last week and now im stuck with the bill-nye-science-guy-looking-mother-fucker and the new guy that moved in yesterday. any longer in this shit hole and im going to die. i have to say the worst part of being here in calgary is the place im living at with missing family, friends and vancouver coming in a close second.

okay i had to vent. luckily however, all will be better soon because i have an old co-worker from futureshop coming to calgary so we're going to move into an apartment. still looking but there are a few close to my office so it'll most likely be those. hopefully ill be able to move into those soon.

work has been fun. training started last wednesday. felt like being in school again. which made me remember what im away from. and that made me happy. haha. training ends tommorow and i will get 2 certificates saying i finished 2 courses and that i am knowledged in Oasys DNA Component Integration and Oasys Display Building. sounds super-uber leet. but it's actually very easy. programming is the awesome.

and here is the best part of the blog. the pictars. the camera on my phone has been messed up lately and me opening it up a few weeks ago didnt necessarily help it. haha. ill try to take all i can. im gonna hold back on my spending and wait til im back in vancouver during xmas to get a new one. $_$

i kid you not, this is what my jones soda told me the day i got the call for my 2 interviews. the 1 i got here at Telvent, and the one i didnt get to hear from, Translink. my last interview before those 2 was back in july. the day after i did the interviews and got the offer call in the afternoon. good thing because i was starting to lose hope. i think ill have a jones before all my future interviews. im keeping this bottle cap.

this was the company appreciation bbq during lunch last wednesday. i felt sorry for the people who started bbqing at 8am as i walked into the office (bbq started at 11). coincidently mr. fat lard focused himself into the middle of my pictar. you can see 2 burger patties on his plate. im sure the second is not for a friend.

friday was the annual Telvent NA Gas BU Open (gas department's golf tournament, half-day of work! yeayea). my cam was messed, plus i was too busy owning to take pics. it was so nice out and the course was beautiful. the only time my phone worked i got a picture of my senior project manager with head cut off and at the end when we parked our golf cart back. we were second last to tee off so all the carts of the other teams were back and at the dinner already. carts are soooooooo fun to drive. it feels like youre gonna tip over any time you turn. actual golfing (non-pitch'n'putt) is FUN.

this is the trophy i got at the end. no its not because i won. awwww i kno. haha. everyone got one. because aside from the tournament, it was a team building exercise. its actually quite a crappy trophy thing. but do YOU have one?? thats right.

blog summary: i hate where im living, im moving. i love my job.

soooooooooooo.. i noticed all the cool kids are updating their xangas so obviously i need to as well. now prepare for the bestest xanga post evar.

for those who dont know, i am in calgary right now for my co-op internship. my job is the awesome. first of all, i get this security pass that i wave across this thing that unlocks doors for me. i have to admit i looked quite stupid on my first day. i already entered the building so i was thinking "no problem, now to find my boss". then i see these glass doors that i need to go through. of course i didnt have my pass yet but i didnt even know i needed one. obviously its going to be locked but i didnt know how else to get in. i had to stand there and knock on the glass like a bum wanting money to have the receptionist beep me in. bet she was thinking "what's this fgt want". but yes, i have my pass now and i get to make a BEEEEEEP sound when i go through certain doors. the funny thing is that you cant beep into the office unless you beeped out cause the system thinks youre still in the building. so you know how people hold doors open for people? like being nice and stuff. here in the office, it's to screw you in the ass. i saw this other newb follow an older guy out of the office to have a smoke. few minutes later i passed by the door again and the smoker couldnt get in the building because the system still thinks he's inside. lol. he had to wait there for someone else to enter or leave so he could get in. i of course didnt help because he's not in my department and would only interfere with me climbing the corporate ladder. bahaha. i also get to play pool/ping pong/foosball during lunch. then there is the gym which no one uses since we're all programmers. but i will try...

now if that wasnt sweet enough, on my second day i got appointed to this project with clients from atlanta (first day was the boring, i got a tour and spent the rest of the day in my shared office with the other intern that started with me talking and reading). these clients are the best. they have funny american accents and sound like they're from a cowboy movie or something. they also buy krispykreme donuts and candy in the morning for everyone on my project team (i am going to get what gary calls 'secretary ass' if i dont continue working out).  yesterday we got pizza for lunch too. AND this wednesday (3rd day of work) my pimp senior project manager decided to take the project team and our clients out for dinnar. we went to this steakhouse called 'the cattle baron' where everything was like $30+. i realized during the dinner that my managers are exactly like all of us. my fobbish manager nick tran drank so much wine that he took a chair from an empty table and put it at the front of ours (we had 9 people) and called himself captain. my alcoholic manager veronica leung is a cougar, or a milf? picture a hot comp-sci girl in her 30s. then i had my managers' managers at the other end do business talk. big boss said lets goto casino after dinner, but all us little guys went home. all of em told us they lost the next morning. haha. and next friday afternoon is team golfing. i am sooo going to get used to this job. $_$

long post huh?? here are some pictars for all the cheaters that dont like to read. most people only pay attention to these anyway.

this isnt my office (i wish) but its my workstation in this huge server room where we work for and with our clients. its soooooo awesome working with three screens. im gonna ask some more.

here is computer porn for the geeks. bunch of dell servers. there are more surrounding our work area. it gets cold because the air con is always on to keep the servers cool. notice the uneaten bag of chips, it was gone the next day.

so concludes my first post in 16months. and therfore the beginning of my xanga whoring.
